Mesmerising Pluto takes 248 years to do one revolution around the Sun.

Not a single one of us will live long enough to experience our own Pluto return, and our children won’t live long enough to witness that date, either!

However, America is currently experiencing her first Pluto return since the declaration of independence was signed back on the 4th of July 1776.

Just because we won’t see our own Pluto return, doesn’t mean we won’t feel the impact of Pluto in our lives at one point or another.

In fact, depending on your planetary placements you may already have a pretty good understanding of the impact planetary wrecking-ball Pluto can have.

If like myself, you’ve had Pluto transit any one of your planets, you’ll have been taken into the underworld and experienced the challenges and riches it has to offer.

In fact, due to the nature of planetary timing we all experience the Pluto Square at about 36-61 years of age (one quarter of his orbit from his natal position in your chart) which is a period of personal regeneration.

Pluto transits revel a darker undercurrent, a period where we have to be authentic and truthful with ourselves, and accept things that are beyond our control.

Also known as the higher octave of Mars, Pluto’s presence in our charts and relationship to other planets can also indicate where we have astute observational abilities, where we feel drawn to the darker, hidden aspects of life, and are tempted by the forbidden fruits of taboo.

Pluto transits can make us feel awakened, alive and full of vitality. They can also take us to hell and back.

In this episode of The Stellium Astrology Podcast I talk about some of the key concepts of Astrological Pluto without being too intense, in the hope of enriching your connection to our intense and non-negotiable God of the underworld.

Emma Lee

Subscriber Emma Lee K's natal chart

The Sun–Pluto conjunction in this chart is an extremely powerful placement, tucked away in the elusive twelfth house which is known as the house of self-sabotage and hidden enemies. It may be difficult for Emma Lee to tap into her personal power, and she may engage in activities of self-sabotage. However, when other people disempower her, she will have to dig deep to realise her personal worth and empower herself to transcend these situations, and be true to herself.

Ashley H

Subscriber Ashley H's natal chart

Ashley has a Moon–Pluto conjunction. Venus is in the mix, too. This is a powerfully attractive combination and some people with Venus–Pluto contact may experience unwanted attention from secret admirers! In the second house of values and possessions, the process of rebirth and the phoenix rising from the ashes may apply to her living situation, and she may have had many transformations as far as her home and location may be concerned. This may apply to her self-worth, too.

Roseanne

Subscriber Rosanne's natal chart

A fourth house stellium including Pluto in Virgo gives subscriber Roseanne super-sleuthey ability. Chatty Mercury in conjunction with her Sun and Pluto in Virgo makes Roseanne a truth speaker – whether other people like it or not! People with Mercury–Pluto contacts are very in-tune with the power of language, and others often feel compelled to divulge their deepest darkest secrets. Roseanne may be well acquainted with the expression ‘knowledge is power’.
